December 19, 2013 - Photo of door handle extension I made. To
use 2" blinds the door handle on the french door must be extended
between the door handle and the door panel. Andersen Windows
and Doors sells extenders for about $125.00 for each door
(I needed 2 extenders and 1 spindle). By buying a piece of 5/16
square stock and 2" piece of 1/2" pipe, I was able to make my own
extenders for about $3.00 per door.
